Marius is a dance music producer from Antwerp, born in the winter of 1974. After he had a few years of classical piano education, he started making his own compositions on his first synthesizer in 1989. Inspired by the funky grooves from Babyface, Bobby Brown, Teddy Riley, Quincy Jones, Keith Sweat and Chaka Khan he became a fan of black music and danced to the hiphop of the early 90ies such as De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Dr Dre, Queen Latifah, Naughty by Nature and Cypress Hill. In 1992 he got caught by the uplifting and mysterious vibes of the underground house music scene in Belgium. The key to this love were radio shows like "Liaisons Dangereuses" hosted by Sven Van Hees and "Rave Radio" hosted by Adam Curry. His favourite club was Café d'Anvers. Marius was producing music in his bedroom until 1994. Then he got in touch with the Mixz productions, who scored a major dance hit with BB Jerome and the Bang gang. Together they produced various dance productions and remixes. In 1997 Marius studied at the national filmschool in Brussels. It was also in this year that he started buying vinyl and spinning the weels of steel. Now he started to release his productions and remixes for labels such as Sony Music, ARS, Zomba, Universal, Warner and Wally's Groove World. He made remixes for artists like An Pierlé, Wizards of Ooze, Groove Armada, Sessomato and collaborates with a whole bunch of people from the Belgian scene such as DJ Koenie (WGW-owner), Geoffroy from Food club (hi-Phen) and Rubba J. His two releases on WGW "Plainsim EP" and "Fresh and forward EP" have been remixed by Freaks (aka Luke Solomon and Justin Harris) and played by veterans like Mateo & Matos. His two side projects are "Deep Water" together with bass player Rubba J and "Mayaku" a collective with Koenie and Rubba J. After more than 2 years of continuously bringing the deep flavoured house goodies on vinyl, Marius presented his debut album "Balance" on Wally's Groove World in the summer of 2000. In this year he also graduated as sound engineer. The release of the Mayaku album "On the other side of the Volcano" followed in the summer of 2002. This is a mixture of deephouse, progressive and percussive techy tracks. Since 2003, Mayaku also performs live on stage in various clubs and festivals such as 10 days of techno, Dour festival, Arezzo festival, Café d'Anvers and lately even in Kiev (Ukraïne). For these gigs Mayaku is reinforced with percussion player Nico Lombardo (LUM recordings). From 2004 to 2007, Marius liked to produce RNB and hiphop beats. Now, he is ready to kick some ass with his nu style house flavoured tracks ! Marius also spins the decks at Café d'Anvers (Free Vibes, Never Say Never) , Silo (Food), Fuse and on private parties (Cruisin Beats, Senotorik, ...). His musical taste varies from labels such as Seasons Recordings over MAW, compost, Drop Music, 2020 Vision, MFFR, Guidance, Wave Music, Grayhound, Dessous, ...View releasesMax Berlin

Smos and Baby Bee aka R.A.W. are a duo who started their DJ career in early '90s, when they were in the small group of DJs who were playing house music on the Belgian music scene. They made their DJ name famous thanks to their funky, uplifting style, which was based on deep vocal house, dubby grooves, percussive rhythms, early UK and US house releases and occasional electrofunk-disco classics.

n the early eighties Rubba J was allready bitten by the music vibe. To express himself he decided to follow two years of music courses on each Saturday to learn the basics of guitar. Then during the oldschool hiphop era he started experimenting with a little drum machine and his guitar, two tapedecks and a lot of passion in search for the funk groove. Continuing to explore his talents and taste for music, he hooked up with some fellow-friend musicians in the mid nineties and started a reggae-funk band called ‘Fever.’ While he was still discovering his own vibe, he became heavily influenced by Funk and was inspired by artists such as Prince, Roy Ayers, Herbie Hancock and others. One day, he discovered some of his girlfriend’s deep house CD’s. Immediately taken by the groove, it didn’t take too long before Rubba J found himself gathering all his experience and finding his identity in House Music. After making a demo, he came in contact with Koenie who is the dj & label-owner of Wallys Groove World, Wha? Roots Records. Thanks to Koenie, Rubba J met Marius, also a dj & producer on Wallys Groove World. Which collaborated into a new deephouse formation called Deepwater. Later on Rubba J also got together again with two old friends from Fever, Bernd & Wouter, and formed Trio Delicado, which stood for pulsating percussion with drums and funky vibes. Then finally in early 2001, Rubba J was really born. Under which he made his first solo debut. Together with Koenie & Marius, under the name “Mayaku”, he still continues to explore new horizons within Deep House music. Rubba J is a collection of creative musical experiences, making his style into what it is today. Sometimes funky, sometimes in a clear technological mood but always the same passion that drives it. Music is an important part of his life and he has released numerous songs under different labels.View releasesSchoenrock
