Almas is Russian for diamond, in Mongolian culture it's a wild man and the Spanish call the soul 'alma'. Different meanings for ever changing feelings: hope, melancholy and anger all come together in his technoid compositions and sonic hallucinations... Klarheit is the melancholic track of the two with its deep deep driving bassline that really lift things to another level... the melancholic strings slowly morph into big bombastic sounds that tear the cloudy sky open and let the sun shine and get all the hands in the air. The b-side is a clean uptempo energetic jacking minimal house track with a nice bouncing drive and futuristic synth stabs. Two modern minimal-ish techno house tracks are anthems for the summer!!

Catalog M5Hugh Like (Jonas Van Avermaet) knows a thing or two about music. After hearing a mix by Stacey Pullen, he traded his drum for a Nord synthesizer. At the same time he took up the violin - no wonder his strings sound classic. In his dj and live sets he combines all his influences and one day he will perform that 'air' from the Third Suite by Bach. Who said minimal?
